About Hanoi, Vietnam
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, and the country’s second largest city. The city sits on the Red River.
It’s population is 6.9 million (the population of Vietnam being 92.5 million).
It is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade.
Together with economic growth, Hanoi's appearance has also changed significantly, especially in recent years. Infrastructure is constantly being upgraded, with new roads and an improved public transportation system.
